Holiday Claims

It's here! Holiday time has arrived. You have been looking forward to this break for ages. It's time to take a break, to relax and have some fun. BUT, what do you do if things don't go according to plan? What if your holiday turns out to be a nightmare?

Usually, if you have booked a package holiday, your complaint will be with the tour operator, rather than the travel agency that may have handled your booking, except in the odd case where the travel agency have operated the tour themselves.

You have cause for complaint if you believe the tour operator has not adhered to their side of the agreement or if you feel you have been misled. Holiday brochures have to include contain clear and concise details of what you can expect and if you find that the accommodation, facilities, customer service etc are not as described, then do not hesitate to contact us. Also, if you find you are surrounded by building works which cause distraction and this affects the enjoyment of your holiday and you were not informed about this before you left the UK, then you have cause for complaint, so again, please do let us know.

This information relates to UK holidays and UK holiday providers as well. In any case, keep any written, photographic and video evidence, and, if appropriate, contact details of witnesses, as any evidence you have collated will certainly help you with your compensation claim.

Also, get in touch if you have been unfortunate enough to have suffered an injury whilst on your holiday and you believe this was the fault of the resort or the holiday operator. Contact L A Steel Solicitors today. We will assess your claim and start the ball rolling.

L A Steel Solicitors are approachable and friendly. We are here to help you in any way we can.

Costs

Firstly, we provide you with an initial half hour interview, which is free.

The following funding options are then open to you:

1. Conditional Fee Agreement

  • WE CHARGE YOU NOTHING WIN OR LOSE.
  • If we take your case on you will not be asked to pay us anything at all. No hidden extras. You will receive your compensation intact.
  • If however you mislead or are uncooperative we reserve the right to terminate the agreement and demand payment of costs accrued at that point.
  • Prior to entering into a conditional fee agreement, it is important that you check to see whether or not any insurance policy you may have includes a legal expenses indemnity clause.
  • To protect you against the possibility of losing and thereby paying the other side's costs, we may be able to arrange insurance for you. In such circumstances in these non-personal injury cases there may be a deduction from your damages which would be discussed and agreed beforehand.
